Disappointed In Dell

A few years ago Dell seemed like the greatest thing since sliced bread. Compared to Compaq, they seemed inexpensive and the quality seemed good.

Yesterday I bought a new laptop and had to steer away from Dell. The cost was far cheaper for an HP laptop and I got twice the performance. What recently minted business student comes up with that idea: "Hey, we've got a good name at Dell, so let's run up the price and give old hardware to the public."

Sorry to break it to them but that is not the way to do business. Be Walmart and not Microsoft. The Walmart model is to sell cheap stuff, take over the market, and continue to sell cheap stuff. The Microsoft model is to run others out of the market and quadruple the price without adding any real value to the product.
